REAL-TIME MULTI-STREAM COMBUSTION ANALYZER

High-Speed, Mulit-Point Flue Gas Analysis | Rapidly Fine Tune Your Combustion

The Multi-Stream Combustion Analyzer (MSCA) delivers high-speed, multi-point flue gas analysis, revolutionizing the way plants assess combustion performance and emissions. Capable of analyzing up to sixteen (16) flue gas streams simultaneously, the MSCA cuts test time by a factor of sixteen compared to traditional methods—without sacrificing accuracy.

Streamlined Testing

The MSCA maintains precise accuracy throughout the test, eliminating the need for cumbersome pre- and post-test calibrations. Data is recorded in real time via laptop, and our custom software processes and translates the data into actionable results within minutes of test completion. This accelerated process ensures that the data truly reflects current firing conditions, minimizing distortions caused by slagging and fouling that could skew NOx and other emissions data.

Rapid Burner Tuning Feedback

With real-time monitoring, the MSCA allows operators to see the direct effect of burner adjustments almost immediately. For example, if a plant technician adjusts a single burner air register, the MSCA reveals the system-wide impact across the entire boiler within 3 to 5 minutes—a dramatic improvement over the hours required for traditional sampling methods.

With MSCA, SAS Global empowers plants to fine-tune combustion faster and with greater precision—delivering cleaner, more efficient performance.

Advantages:

  • More flexibility in operation since the boiler is not always locked at one firing condition
  • Increased time for sootblowing, load changes and other necessary operations
  • Increased variables can be studied within a given time constraint
  • Greater confidence in the data and results since operational variables (slagging and fouling) are reduced
  • Reduced labor from the utility
  • Reduced contractor labor, per diem and equipment rental fees
